A Great New Tool and it’s FREE!
Sometimes you stumble upon the coolest things, and in this case it took bad sales practices by not one, but two sales people, for whom I will forever be grateful too.
Last Month, I received an email from an account executive at Adobe, inquiring as to when I would be able to speak with him. It was a sales or perhaps I should say an “email call”. I don’t know about you but lately, I really do prefer “email calls” to sales calls. They don’t interrupt my day, I can return them when I have time, even if that is in the middle of the night, literally.
So I returned my sales associates “email call”, giving him a couple of choices that would work for me on the days he had asked for and hit the send button. So, you may ask, what was the problem? The problem was, he never called!
Then a few weeks later, I received another sales “email call” from someone in one of the groups I belong to on Linkedin who trying to sell me their services. Using Linkedin to send mass pre-approach letters is a great way to maximize your sales efforts if you do it right.
First, make sure you “uncheck” the “Allow recipients to see each other’s names and email addresses” box at the bottom of the email in Linkedin and secondly, don’t do what this sales person did. Sending pre-approach letters to your competition is a BIG mistake and in this case, one for which I will forever be grateful.
At the bottom of her email, it said that if I was interested I could simply respond to the email or if I preferred to schedule a time that was convenient for me I could simply click on her “Tungle.me”
Tungle.com is a scheduling application that syncs with your existing calendar and allows your employees, clients, even prospects to schedule a time that fits their schedule.
